The Caracalla Spa is Baden-Baden's modern thermal bath: a wide water landscape with indoor and outdoor pools, bubbling loungers, a current channel, grottoes and a large sauna world on the upper floor. It is fed by the same hot springs beneath the Florentinerberg that have drawn people here since the Romans built their bathhouses on this exact spot.
Unlike the historic Friedrichsbad a few steps away, you wear a swimsuit in the pool areas. The sauna level upstairs is nude, which is normal practice in German saunas and not optional. Half a day is about right, and of the two Baden-Baden baths this is the one that works with kids and with anyone who would rather swim than sit through a fixed ritual.
